After several days of programming, testing, optimizing and again programming, testing and optimizing in several more loops we finally did it: We have redesigned and reprogrammed one of the largest and best multiplayer scenario files: A randomized star map of a GALAXY.

THIS IS AN OFFICIAL GALAXIAE MULTIPLAYER SCENARIO STUB. YOU CAN PLAY THIS SCENARIO ONLY ONLINE IN MULTIPLAYER (BEST WITH 2, 4, 8 HUMAN AND/OR BRAIN/AI PLAYERS). THE FULL SCENARIO IS GENERATED ON THE GAME SERVER IF 2 OR MORE PEOPLE JOIN. TO START THE SCENARIO JUST LOAD IT AS SCENARIO EVEN IF IT LOOKS EMPTY.
FAQ: We will provide a better directory structure later. Simply create a MP_STUB directory and save the *.svscen file there. If load the file when online with the exact same name all players on the server download the original latest file generated on the server.
Galaxiae Gamma 2.6 (stable): We have deleted all wormholes from the galaxy map. We detected that atleast in brain-brain competitions the program crashed due to problems with too many wormholes generated in a map. The original game engine seems to have a problem if wormholes are generated on stars and/or teleported units are placed randomly around a wormhole tunnel exit by chance on another wormwhole. Good news: In tests with 2.7 we already tested if we can double the number of stars and resources on a map. Yes, it works!
2.5: Optimized the dynamical generation of nebulae in the arms of the galaxy.

Galaxiae Gamma 1.0-1.7: The former versions had been programmed via PHP in 2001 and were only static scenario files, so all stars were fixed. We do no longer support the version 1 of this scenario.
